Install Aptoide TV on MiBox/Android TV

Install Aptoide TV on Mi Box & Mi TV & Nvidia Shield

A standard Android TV system such as Mi Box S, Mi TV, Nvidia Shield and SONY TV come with an Android OS 8 or 9 and a Google Play Store, but in the Google Play Store you can't find and install the Aptoide TV apk.

Why? it's pretty obvious, it is not allowed, however it is possible to sideload it with very easy methods.

Method 1: Download and install Aptoide TV directly with Smart TV APK downloader

It is very easy to install Aptoide to Mi TV with Smart TV APK downloader, simply install it from Google Play Store (on your Android TV), and there is a built-in link for Aptoide TV, just tap it and install it, If there is no direct download link, you can copy the link  https://apkins.aptoide.com/AptoideTV-5.1.2.apk from Aptoide TV site.

Method 2: Download Aptoide TV by Puffin TV (obsolute, this method no longer works)

Note: It was possible to download and install Aptoide TV using Puffin TV, but recently the download and install apk feature had been pulled off from it, so this method no longer works.

Method 3: Sideload Aptoide TV apk with ES file explorer

With ES file explorer, you could access the USB storage and install APK files stored in it, and you can download the Aptoide TV apk to an USB drive and install it with ES file explorer, however, since 2019-April-27, the ES file explorer had also been removed from Google Play Store. so this method also no longer works.
